Dr. Cuesta Torres continued her medical career completing a  Surgical Residency at the same school, followed by an Intensive Care Fellowship at Hermanos Amejeiras Hospital, and an outstanding career as a General Surgeon in Habana, Cuba.  

In 1997, Dr. Cuesta Torres came to the United Stateslooking for freedom and a better life.  She completed her Residency in Family Medicine at Bella Vista Hospital in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.  Dr. Maria Cuesta Torres is Board Certified in Family Medicine, she continues her outstanding career as a Family Physician,  we are excited that she has joined EliteHealth South Miami.
